Postcard for solo exhibition at Founders Gallery

This is the postcard front as put together by the the folks at the Hub in New Smyrna Beach, Fl. . "Textures and Beyond" will run the month of February, 2019 in the Founders Gallery at the Hub. This exhibition will feature approximately 20 heavily textured abstract paintings. Exact number will be determined when we hang the show. The show will open on Saturday, Feb 2 in conjunction with the NSB Art Walk. Artist's reception from 4-7pm.

"Untitled" Monotype

This "strappo" technique monotype measures 13" X 15" (framed). It is achivally framed in an under and over float mat and a minimal antique silver drawing frame. SOLD - this piece now has a home on Park Ave. in New York City.

Untitled Mixed Media

I'm gearing up for more commissioned work after the Holidays. This painting is an example of the work they purchase. 

I've been told to expect two branches in January.  Typically each branch will have anywhere from seven to eleven paintings depending on the size of the building and how many individual banker offices.  

CFE Credit Union is the largest and fastest growing credit union in central Florida.  SInce October 2013 they have purchased and or commissioned over 80 works from Kevin and myself.  They have approximately forty pieces in their home office in Lake Mary (pictured below).

They also have been commissioning  art for each new branch they open or any older branch they remodel.

"Hay Bales, Near Mt. Dora"

This soft pastel was done en plein air during the 2014 Mt.Dora Festival.  I had to dodge rain drops and work fast so this is essentially a "quick draw".   This and other works are currently on display at the Mt. Dora Center for the Arts through December 5, 2014.

Monotypes

Two of three monotypes that I recently sold at Gallery on First. Always happy to have my work appreciated. These will be going to North Carolina. They were done using the Strappo technique developed by my friend Mr. Harold Garde.
